Trees and Development Seminar

Just a few pictures from our recent seminar, despite having awful flu I really enjoyed my small part in the presentation and got a great deal from the day.

Trees and Development

Just a quick update on the fact that I am assisting in presenting a seminar called "Trees and Development : Roots to Best Practice", being held at Victoria Park Function Centre on the 19th March 2010.

Trees and Development: Roots to Best Practice

The seminar is aimed at explaining the role within urban development of the recently released Australian Standard AS4970 Protection of Trees on Development Sites.

Two of the largest Local Government Aurthorities in Southeast Queensland; Brisbane and the GoldCoast are in the midst of adopting AS4970 into the assessment process within their planning schemes, and there is little doubt that the majority of other LGA's will follow suit.

Roma Street Parklands....part of Brisbane's Public Greenspace

In these wanderings I might seem to be spending all my time visiting tropical wonderlands, arboreal garden's of eden....and to me it often does seem that way...I am blessed to have a job that brings me to places where I can touch such beautiful trees.

However you don't have to even travel out of the city to find such magical places.....
